Hi Brad - Thanks for all your help and advice wrt making your bamboo guitar. I have just completed the RONAcaster, a chambered, all-bamboo telecaster using vertically laminated bamboo flooring purchased from RONA in Ontario, Canada. The body, neck and fingerboard are all completely bamboo. The only other wood used was ebony for the fret markers. The weight is really good, weighing in at about 7 lbs. and it has a great tone and sustain. Thanks again! Ken

WHOA! That guitar sounds great man. Looks great too. Bamboo being a very renewable resource also makes it a guitar that is fantastic for the environment.

I just picked up a new strat recently, but man, if you ever start producing these as a business, I would seriously consider one of these bad boys for my next guitar.

Man, I think your really onto something. My concern when I first read about this was the tone, but that thing friggin sings!

Is anyone else building bamboo guitars? If not, man, you could be onto something hot.

Hi Brad, great job on the guitar. Wondering if you would consider making me a strat s/s/s body along with a neck made from bamboo old 70's big head stock style. I want to put together a project and would love to make it al out of bamboo.

hey Brad! thanks so much for all the advice on building a bamboo guitar - I have purchased some bamboo flooring at a local hardware store and am well on my way to completing the chambered, laminated body. I back at your website to check on what you did for the neck and fretboard and am happy that you went ahead with all bamboo, which I will do as well. ken

I am making a guitar for my daughter who has been encouraging me for 1-2 years to consider making a bamboo guitar for the ecological consideration. I am now at the investigative stage and was intrigued by your postings and pics! I would like to know if the front and back of the body are single pieces of the purchased bamboo or did you have to laminate the laminated pieces you received. That is, I'm a little confused as to what stock bamboo pieces I should buy. Do they come in thin sheets? Thanks! Ken
